Brake upgrade question

Went out on the BCR for the first time this year yesterday after playing with the speed triple recently, and although it didn't feel any where near as quick it did get up to speed deceptively quickly, However slowing down wasn't as rapid with the lever feeling incredibly soft.
So are there any good brake upgrades available, |I've already got braided lines, and I'm aware that changing master cylinder isn't really a viable option due to the switch gear being integrated in it.

Renew your fluid, fit a new master cylinder seal kit (cheap but a bit of a fiddle to get back in) - and maybe clean or renew your pads?

Give the lines a good bleed-through too

It'll never be a 600 supersports - but the brakes are pretty good, especially combined with the engine-braking?

apart from a master cylinder re-build I've done the rest. maybe it's just i'm used to 2 finger braking with brembos, My old ZX7R was the same , but a radial master cylinder made a massive difference

Im guessing there's something amiss because I find the brembos on the BCR really good

Braking should be good enough to outbrake ss600's with the standard set up - done it all day long on trackdays, as long as its all in good nick.
Possibly upgrade the pads, but as Steve says it sounds like something ain't quite right.

The original brake lines doesn't make for easy bleeding. A bit of patience and 2 days should sort it. I usually change the fluid after the winter, not before. The cold causes the fluid to trap moisture, this water will boil in the callipers and give you a spongy feeling.

The best set-up is the twin lines, each calliper has its own brake line to the master.

That said the Brembos are a good piece of kit. With decent rider (I'm not saying I am) the lever can be regularly abused on track days, getting the rear end light and out brake the sports bikes all day long. It might also be that the sportsbike rider is not using the full potential of his brakes. Later you may want to change to the radial kit that some Italian company offers for a mere 500 Euro.
