Black Forest

Post by das bike u1100s »

Trying to get in a short break in the Black Forest on my Bcr in early September.
I have not been there since the early 80's. has anyone got any recommendations' for places to stay at, ie hotels/pubs (German version of!)
plus maybe any interesting rides out to there and whilst there.
Many thanks for any pointers.
Paul

The B500. Is a must. Freudenstadt was a lovely place last time I was there but that was some time back and I stayed in a tent

For the leather shorts & oiling the dried kippers, when you take place in their version of Morris dancers surely?

Having just returned from the Black forest & a stay at Enz Residenz, I can fully recommend it.
The owners have 3 Ducati's between them & will download onto your Garmin various good biking routes around the forest.
Oh, and the food was top notch, views amazing.
In the reception was a plaque from the Dutch Ducati's owners club, I hope to smuggle in a Boxertrix sticker & cover it up next may/June on a return visit!
By the way Mike, on arrival at Enz I waved the complimentary squirt of chain lube and received an extra brussel sprout each night with my meal free of charge

Glad you enjoyed the trip. Maybe we could have somewhere to post about biker friendly hotels with secure parking etc?
