Front shock

Post by Topcat »

Bit of a long shot but if anyone has their R12 in bits with the tank off, would you be so kind to measure the thread length above the nut of the front shock top mount please?

Reason I ask is that when fitting a PC 3 I had to take the tank off to remove the accelerator module (the one that tricks the bike into thinking it’s colder than it is) and noticed that the top of the thread had started to mark the underside of the tank. I must admit this surprise me a bit as it wasn’t a problem when I fitted the module or the shocks.

The bike has WP shocks so just want to check what standard is.

Thanks in advance

Cheers Gus,

Really good of you.

BTW, PC3 makes a lot of difference, not taken it for a long run yet because of the tank (I packed it up a bit but not happy with it), feels very keen to rev.

I may take over to our local Dynojet and get it set for the bike but happy for now.
