...for the 12S.
I've seen a yellow bike with Ohlins and the 6" back rim. I've also seen a black 'standard' bike, similar mileage but A GRAND cheaper!
I'm 48; it should be an easy decision, I mean how important is colour and getting as much grip as possible to somebody my age?
But...

I do like yellow bikes... And yellow shocks for that matter!

3narf,
I think the better suspension is a bonus - not sure whether its a grands worth though.
As for yellow bikes - I'm with you on that one....

Thx all. They're not exactly on every street corner like the proverbial dog's excrement (as opposed to excrement from a proverbial dog) so it'll probably be decided on a bike by bike basis.
That looks superb, A! I need one of those belly pans. But first I need a bike.

I could have got a mamola rep over a grand cheaper than my RWB BCR, but felt that if you're spending that sort of money then you should get the bike that you really want, not almost right. think that the ohlins is worth it, but if the colour is more important the £!K that you save would almost pay for a a pair of ohlins and definitely nitrons

the difference between stock OE fit dampers and the Ohlins ones is night and day. and a grand more, hmmm, price up some replacement shocks for a 12'S and see where the money goes.
as Andy will tell you, yellow with the gold is by and far the best colour choice!!!

I heard it was at least 25, takes the bike to better levels than an HP2, or a Moto-GP bike for that matter!

My track fairings follow a similar theme (just need to paint the bellypan!)

Nah. It's only 8bhp for black wheels - you need rimtape to release the full 10

I'm still undecided re. a bellypan. From certain angles some of them look great, but there's always a view that makes the bike look too bulky and heavy to me. If that makes sense
