Y Piece and chip upgrade?

With my bike now in more pieces than I planned the list of jobs I'm tempted to do is growing by the day.
I've read a post about the Chinese Y-Pieces onEbay and wondered if they or other exhaust mods are worth doing, along with a chip upgrade?
I wouldn't mind more power, but I'd love more noise!

Laser cans would do it, but they ain't cheap second-hand.
You'd be better waiting for a full Remus or Staintune exhaust, I think.
Those might cost up to app. £450

I can support the nomination for a Staintune system. Had one on my R1100S and it sounded great and definitely released more grunt.

You might try those longer GS intake tubes first (abt 30 quid second hand) and then see if you still need/want the more expensive mods.
Cheers.
