spark plug colour and mixture adjustment
While adjusting the valve clearances yesterday (11S) I found the plugs are a little on the pale side. Is it possible to tweak the fuel mixture without having to resort to re-flashing or a power commander?

Maybe back in the day when we had leaded petrol and carburettors you could gauge mixture visually. Nowadays it's not really possible , pale is normal.. imo etc etcMotocod wrote:While adjusting the valve clearances yesterday (11S) I found the plugs are a little on the pale side. I believe that if you do this you HAVE to have it set up with a pc3 other wise fuel gets thrown in by the bucket load. My 11 had it done by the previous owner and informed me of this.tanneman wrote:A crude method is to use the fuel regulator from a K1200RS. The flat four ones. It involves removing the tank.

Mine weren't far off the same colour. I may check them again in a few weeks. I recently removed the baffles from my exhaust cans, but I can't believe that would enormously affect things.nab 301 wrote:Maybe back in the day when we had leaded petrol and carburettors you could gauge mixture visually.
