I suspect BMW have a few of them?

Not helpful I know but if you NEED one its the obvious place to start.

There's one on EBAY USA, but it would cost £60+duty+PO Duty cost.

yes, would be a pain to order form US, even if they did arrive in time there is the customs and the fact they could be dead on arrival after all that.

Masha,

In your search for a used one you can extend to many more models on ebay as it's a fairly common part across the range

That's great to know Slparry - I can't thank you enough for that myriad of useful information. I love the Boxertrix community, and thanks v. much for your contribution to it ;) That will certainly help me broaden my search over the next few days. Will the bike be running by Jun10th is the key thing (as I'm booked on the ferry to Santander - and hoping to tour 10 days through the Pyrenese mountains and take in the Cataluna MotoGP - have all the tickets and booking - just no working bike at the moment! - 2 weeks to sort it out, wish me luck! and thanks

If you're really really really stuck , I have a high mileage one that is on my original worn throttle bodies , was fine when I removed them. probably take a week to reach you by post though....

Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to try to source one from motor-works, just waiting until Wed to see if they've re-stocked on stick-coils by then too, and might get a couple if I find any of those troublesome in testing over the b/h w/e. Many thanks
