Yup, Saw that on the MCN site yesterday, That's a kick in the yuletide bollocks for a few folk

Selfishly it's also bad timing as I don't have the pennies to capitalise on another closing down sale and I had intended going for an HG suit come spring time :?

The last time it happened I'd ordered a suit and it came as the wrong size...
they rumors of admin started just after I'd posted it back... Took ages to get the refund (which i think one annoyed employee authorised when he shouldn't have - because i was giving some stick about it!)

a day after i got my refund, it was official, they'd gone into admin.... I dodged a bullet there i think, and haven't trusted them since they where saved the first time round to be honest....

Pay by credit-card........... that should negate the risk? :)

They make some good products, and I guess outwith BMW gear - is no more or less of a risk of folding - as any other make?

Al :)

I used to really like HG.
Went into one of the shops after the first administration debacle, and thought 'why bother?'. The shop was half empty. Zero selection. Not what HG is about.
Not sure what I'll swap over to. Maybe Dainese?

HG used to be excellent - way back in the mid 90s I bought all my kit from them, mostly from the Manchester branch, when it was in Castlefield.

Many years later, I took Mrs TS down to the Cardiff branch for some kit - ad for some new summer kit for me. They had nothing in stock that would fit either of us.

The women's ranges appeared to be made for pre-pubescent teenagers - she's petite (size 8-10 and 5ft), but none of the clothes had hip or chest room for her.

When I looked at the men's stuff, it was hard to find anything in a 36" waist, and when I did, the legs were 34" long - there was nothing in a 'regular' leg length.

So it's not really a surprise they've gone under twice.
