Well since I sold my 1100S I have been a busy guy. I purchased a couple of old bikes to add to my classic collection.
A Yamaha 350 YPVS and a RD250LC. I have done a lot of work in a very short space of time to get the YPVS on the road as this is going to be my main ride.
It's on the road now and running great. Looks quite nice in the picture but needs re-spraying over the winter back to it's proper colours

Looks nice, and I agree with you, the colour is a bit.....looks like the original pipes too. Look forward to seeing and maybe hearing her. A trio of stink wheels in the garage, that should keep Shell or whoever afloat in their two-stroke oil sales. I do miss my old 350 YPVS

Apparently, it's a very rare F model. The F was only produced for 8 months before the F2 came out. The F2 having a different exhaust and a few other mods that tamed it and slowed it down a bit
I know one thing, for a 350 it certainly is very quick. I would say it's not much behind an 1100s in the acceleration stakes. Not bad at all for a 28 year old bike.

It must be as light as a feather compared to an 1100S.

lol it certainly is. thats one of the reasons it's so quick, very good power to weight ratio. 60 ish BHP and weighs about 350 pounds.
another big plus is you can throw it around very easily, handles good too.
I sound like a Yamaha salesman lol.

Yes - I remember the F coming out, along with the 350N which was the naked version with no plastic at the front at all and a black frame and red (yuk!) seat. I also remember the Wrangler colour scheme which was a one-off done to a 350 YPVS by WhichBike? magazine as a competition prize. It was done to an older 350 YPVS.
I once had an original YPVS in black/red.

That looks very tidy, Mike. Had one myself. Completely standard 85 'B' reg. In the red/white scheme. Loved it. Nothing else sounds quite like a Powervalve - a rich mate's NS400 sounded strangled and lame in comparison. Happy days...
