Front/rear caliper stainless kit availble for r1200s?

Post by Copper »

Hi,

I want to replace the rusty bolts/pins on my brake calipers with stainless ones.

Does anyone supply a kit with all the parts to do this?

Regards,

Jon

Give Darren a ring at Motorworks - they do full stainless kits of the R259 Oilheads, they may have a 'short' kit (ie for brakes'n'stuff) for the later Hexheads too.

i bought mine from pro bolt kit and had no problems, there is an opinion out there which considers fitting stainless bolts as dangerous - all i can say is that ive had no problems in the three years that i've had them fitted

Spoke to a guy from copaslip about this and he reckons "proper" copaslip is OK although they do manufacture an Alislip. Not sure then about torque settings
