Does anyone have a set of them that they would exchange for a monetary consideration? Or BBP ones for that matter..)

I ask on the off-chance really. The BCR is in the middle of a 1130cc/intake-porting/head skimming/balance pipe deleting/de-coking/valve lapping/re-mapping upgrade and when I dropped the nearside cam-cage out tonight I saw that the lobes on the cam were worn.

Seems a shame to put the same thing back and new Wunderlich are highly priced so I thought I'd ask the obvious question here.

I 'spose I could get mine back-ground but that takes time and you never get the profile right first time...

Please help this man. I'm going to organise a group booking for Bedford Autodrome track day on 23 April and he'll need to be ready. It is only £69 but 10% discount is a bargain.

Why not use the standard ones for now? I see, 219E a cam  so not worth it to do it by half measures. Have you tried on Pelican? Give shreddr a shout on there. Try motorworks, they might have the odd one lying around or maybe San Jose BMW could help you with a set.

Any photo's Damo and can you enlighten us with the problems you encountered.

Composing the post for PP as we speak sir.

Put me down for one on the 23rd at Bedford. If the BCR isn't ready, I'll just use the GS :D

There may be another for Bedford, I'll ask Dave when he gets back. Do you need more peeps? I have a mini-mailing list of interested trackday peeps....

[edit] I was at San Jose last year and spoke to a singularly uninterested bloke called Bill about cams, angled to get him to check with someone 'out back' who confirmed they knew nothing about performance cams for the 11S and didn't have anything in stock anyway.

Packed, Racked and Stacked.

At least I got a set of accelerators while I was there (and a power filter but it wont be used)....

The more the merrier. I'll drop you a pm when I set up the group. Yes there is but for a cool £149 with MSVT on 13/04. I'll pick out the cheaper ones because I would like more people to try it for themselves especially from our club. It seems most bikers are scared of track days but would happily risk their lives riding like arseholes on the road while it can be done safely on a track.

Don't want to hijack, photos please and don't forget to tell a story.

Hi
Forum member DAVE2WHEELS had some cams and lightweight valve gear which may have been for sale. This was a fair while ago though. I don't know if he still posts here. Worth a punt though. Send a PM.

Perfect. Thank you sir - just the sort of lead I was looking for. I'll PM Dave right away.

Not really, there are no second-hand ones about and new ones are just too expensive right now.
I've had a close look at the wear mark on my one and although it's noticeable, I suspect that it's not too bad right now and should get through this season to the Winter '13 refit when I'll have a solution thought out.
Plus I really need to get it back together this week so I can send it out to Simon @ Race Engineering for re-mapping in time for Bedford next month.

Photos' soon but I spent yesterday lapping the valves in (and buggering about with torches taking photo's), today was a family day so tomorrow (when the house goes quiet) I can throw the heads and barrels into the dishwasher while I clean the crankcases up. Then refit the the valvegear, and rebuild the (now clean) pots onto the crankcase.

Busy day.. Hopefully...
