Yep, totally agree with this.
I remember the problems I had when filtering in town with panniers fitted, sometimes the gaps are so small its easy to forget the extra clearence needed, he certainly has my sympathy, that is afterall probably his pride and joy as my bike is mine.
It hard to critise really, I mean its not as if he was going fast or anything, just an error of judgement, it happens to all of us from time to time.
Fookin funny though...

I did once filter down the side of a closed lane and a queue of stationary traffic on a dual carrage way, on the RT.
When i got to the end one of the guys digging the road up was clapping at me and shaking his head.....
A quick look in the mirror showed I'd hit a good half of the traffic cones with my pannier and nocked them over!

What he needs are 2 massive sticky out cylinders to act as feelers, a bit like a cats whiskers.
