Ilmburger hugger refurb

Guys
Is there any special kind of lacquer I should use to respray my hugger, its looking really tatty. I hope there is something good, I used the lacquer spray can from Halfords and within a year it looks worse than before
There there's the swing arm bearings to do, the paralever bearings to do .... the front suspension is sticky... my shed is going to be pretty busy
