The kit was intended to be fitted to a s1000rr but it works well on twin spark boxers. The ecu which is squeezed under the seat with the alarm and power commander allows full control over how the quickshift functions. It works very well . The wiring to the outer coil sticks isnt ideal but works. I have also installed a shift light next to the tacho. Hard to get used too not chopping the throttle during upshifts though. I have set it up so it works from 4000 rpm onwards.

Hey Gus! I subscribe to this bloke http://youtu.be/b9L5EW70AfM on youtube. He's got a quickshifter (an a lot else) on his Kwacka. Him an his m8s are totaly insane but they do throw loadsamunee at their bikes then go an rip up the LIE at nite just to try 'em out.

Gus, does the quickshift kit you got have a clutch lock out option? I have been doing some research on a street friendly kit for my R1200S. So some pointers would be great!

Hi
I don't think it has that facility. It can be programmed so you can set a RPM range where the quick shift is not working.
It is really a setup for racing more than for street use.
All the best

Understood. Is your bike setup purely for the track?

I intend to use my bike mostly for the street, but plan on doing once or twice track day a year. Just not sure the kit is suitable for the street.

Hello
Mine is now used for racing only, but I did use it on the road for a year.
I had it set working above 5000 RPM on the road and have it set at 3000 RPM for the track. It is a very good unit and works very well.

My HP2 quick shifter (or should I say Gear Assist?) operates at all revs and makes for a very relaxed ride due to reduced usage of the clutch lever on longer rides. Gear shifts are silky smooth...except between 1st and 2nd !!

I love it!

I think you are asking a bit much of it going through neutral.
On my 1300S I used the clutch first to second, then the shifter for the rest, as like you I found it less than slick!

Mine is really clunky if used at lower revs.
I stick with the clutch there.
But it might be me...

Like you I tend to use the clutch from 1st to 2nd most of the time (unless really ragging it when it works fine . :D ).
