I try not to take the piss too much.So i do sometimes have to work on my bike at home.Which is great when you got your bike stripped down in the street and everybody who walks past wants to tell you about their uncle,aunt,great grandfather etc etc who had a bike.I suppose when you get really old you,ve kinda earned the right to talk bollox to anyone anytime anywhere.

It's good if you have a bellypan.................but like you, I will stick with two axle stands and 20mm bar, besides i'm still paying off the mortgage on my indicators

As an aside Gus, have you done anything about your brake calipers yet?
I'm considering going the same route as I hate the standard BMW ones. They seem to be the cause of most of my brake problems (sqealing, shuddering etc). Maybe it's why BMW changed them

Thank you - yes those are the ones.

Silicon - composite discs, ceramic pistons, as good as carbon but they work when cold and in the wet. And they last a lot longer as well. Currently undergoing testing and appraisal by the aerospace industry, F1 and a couple of Moto-GP teams.

Dramatically cheaper than Brembo who are currently charging circa 3000 Euros for each carbon disc.

Now that Moto-GP will not stop a race for rain, it makes carbon brakes a no-no if there is any chance of rain. These may be the way to go - we hope!!!

I have a bellpan and would love those stands,as its a pain in the arse taking the thing off.Although that aint a problem at the mo,as its undergoing some serious repair work after head butting a house brick.
I still aint put them on yet.Even though my dad has his own engineering workshop,i still aint got the adaptors sorted.Must try harder.must try harder.
My 98 brembos are not there best at the moment despite new pads and a good cleaning.
I got my series ore brembos off ebay for £90 the pair and in great condition.They came of a mille.
I,m on the hunt for some waveys like yours aswell.Birthday this sunday,so hopefully relatives will bombard me with cash instead of socks and smellies.

The question I would ask is what testing have they had, are they TuV, DOT, Kite or E stamped?

The wavey discs from the Italian lot 'Braking' are TuV approved. Can't say for any other manufacturers.

If they had a reputation for breaking(pardon the pun),then i,m sure the press would have jumped on it.That disc could have been subjected to all kinds of abuse or it could have been a defect.Ours bolts directley onto the wheel aswell,so no carrier to worry about.
