Tracker Bike Security

I have been thinking about having a ‘Tracker’ system fitted to the bike and spoke with their London centre (Tel 020 88388838) and was given the following information.

Tracker Retrieve
One off fee of GBP624 Inc VAT covering fitting and lifetimes membership
or GBP299 + GBP109 per year
With this option you notify them the bike has been stolen and they retrieve it.

Tracker Monitor
One off fee of GBP774 Inc VAT covering fitting and lifetimes membership
or GBP449 + GBP109 per year
With this option they constantly monitor the bike and if it is moved illegally
then they contact you to confirm that it has not been stolen

Fitting for both systems require a whole day.
The only restrictions that I was told about were that the bike must be bigger than
500CC and have a 12 volt battery

While neither option is particularly cheap it might be worth considering.

Spoke to the Carole Nash rep at the NEC show, and they said NO decrease in premiums for this product since it doesn't stop bikes being nicked in the first place. My rant about moral obligation to catch the theiving scumbags and chop their testes off fell on stoney ground - he just shrugged and said 'thats not what we are here for'. Not impressed would be an understatement.
