totally unrelated but I had a problem recently with the brake on my F650, nothing I could do could stop it feeling odd and spongy.... bled the bloody thing every which way till I was blue..

D'ya know what it was in the end? A piece of grit/pepple chip, I assume from the salting of the roads, about 5mm thick had got lodged in the brake, and given on the F650 it's a sliding caliper, it was stopping it slide properly took me ages to track it down

If your trying to bleed it and your getting a jet of fluid out of the res your pumping far to quick you are pushing the air down the pipe you got to go slow then tickle the lever to get the little bubbles out

Treat it like a woman take your time then give it gentle touches
Don't just grab at it often using your thumb over the nipple will give you better results than using a spanner on the nipple
Are your nipple clear or is one blocked
Do you still have the stupid BMW thing fitted to the one calliper BMW only fit a bleed nipple to one calliper if your trying to bleed it from one side it will never happen

You guessed it Dai's been drinking and can't be bothered to go through the whole thread again
We have to be getting close Dai

Sound advice fron Dai
But eventually she will leave you for a younger owner, and in a messy separation you will loose custody of half of your workshop tools

Dai Yesterday.

The Moral of this story is that Motorcycle brakes can be a pain to bleed if you don't have a mityvac/big syringe.
