I am sure you will enjoy the R100S. Coincidentally, I owned a '78 R100S in the same "smoked red" paint from 1980 until I foolishly sold it in 1986. Great daily driver. I now ride an '03 R1100S BCR, kind of a surrogate for the R100S.

Luke, I agree that he shouldn't have used your write up. He is a lazy fecker! I have seen this done before on cars a few times. At least it is clear that he hasn't had the bike long and is passing on as much info as possible.
I love your new bike and if ever you want to sell it then I think that you will have a stampede!

Dave, it was obvious for me as well. His feedback on eBay tells the tale. All excellent by the way.
But that doesn't make him dodgey and I didn't think that big rob's comment was fair.

From page 1;
I am trying to sell my BCR on Ebay, but I am very disappointed at the lack of interest.
With 2 hours to go I have got one bidder, 51 watchers, 2 telephone calls and one person came to see the bike.
It was there for all to see and buy.
Let's see if the guy makes a profit then.

Neil, Thanks for the compliment regarding the R100S, I have still yet to ride it.
I have bought a new Starter Motor, Boyer Bransden Micro Digital ignition sytem and some stainless Pushrod tubes, all I need now is the motivation to start fitting it all.
I ended up buying the bike from my Father for £2500.

Would you shell out £4000 to test your back?
The seller is masquerading as something he's clearly not, makes him dodgy where I come from.

And me, if he's a reputable bloke with good feedback, why the bullshit about the back problem. He'd be much better pointing out his feedback and telling us all how reputable he is. At the moment, that's still up for debate as far as I'm concerned.

On a lighter note, what a lovely day it's been today to be out on the bike [smilie=bike.gif]

Speaking of feedback, I have just realised that he as not left me any on my Ebay account.

I hope he takes a bath on it!

No - wait! That would devalue this ultra-special edition! :(

I hope he sells for £5k!

No wait - that would make him a scheming bastard! :(

The guy's turning bikes around for a couple of hundred £££, makes no real effort to hide that he does this (otherwise he would make his ebay listings - private).

Okay - he's being "economical with the truth" - about things which have no material effect on the condition of the bike - so try and see the wood.....................

It's an honest bike - probably the very same condition as when Lukedog sold it - at a still reaonable price (cheap - if you believe some people)

Just had a look at that bike............

Has it been fitted with the Mk2 seat (the higher one) ?

It looks like it - from the pics.

You are right, I did fit the later seat for a little more comfort.
