"... but the sidestand wasn't there and it was too late. We've all done it, right? Haven't we?"

............Stopped outside a bike shop, put the side stand down, lent the bike down onto it but the stand went
down a drain and yes there where other bikers around.

Parked my first bike, a Honda Nightmare on a slight incline and didn't leave it in gear. It started to roll - anyone remember those bits of rubber on Honda side stands that would flip your stand up if you rode off with it down? Need I say more?

I suspect the lock stop is broken on the left hand side* -?
I had a look at mine today out of interest , I'd have thought it would take more than a "simple" fall off the sidestand to break the lock stop ?

Me too, but I discovered some threads on Pelican where they seemed to think it was a weak spot and relatively common. The fact that Wunderlich do a repair set for it seems to back this up (

I'll confess that I've been so busy that I haven't been able to have a proper look at mine yet. I had a quick look up inside the fairing after I brought it back from the test station but couldn't really see anything. I guess if I didn't know how it should have looked in he first place it wouldn't have helped!

My BCR may be staying at home (might be using the car and bringing my mountainbike - depending on circumstances!!)

It's been to all of them previously so the needing to do the tail end charlie duties combined the K will fit better, plus the Cup's not taxed at the mo' I'll tax it next month

Despite the K being hugely faster and more powerful than the 'Cup the 'Cup brings out the worst in me and makes me ride a lot more aggressively which is not conducive to TEC duties, if I went on the Cup I'd only get halfway around and would give up on the TEC and be thraping around like the rest of the nutters

... allegedly
