The reason carbon fibre was used is that there is such a small cost difference to fibreglass that is was worth the extra cost. It is all labour and that is not cheap. To my manufacturers credit, my proce has not risen since the first items were made all hose years ago so I am on a good thing.
The other reason for carbon is that the InDuct runs close to the left head and has better heat resistance than carbon fibre.
As far as BMWs or any other bike not needing mods, if you had a chance to ride my bike or any BMW that has been tuned with my InDuct, the rocket Sprockets, exhaust mods and a good tuning chip or external box, you would enjoy the ride.
The majority of BMW owners feel BMW make a good product that does not need miodification and that is an interesting perspective to have.
The proof is in the pudding though.
Each to their own opinion and theory though.
