Thanks Roloo
Did you run it in in conjunction with tah manual, or did you let her rev a bit?

The dealer is delivering my new R1200S to me tonight
I had a bit of a job getting there to pick it up so they (SPC) kindly offered to drop it off.
If the weather forecast looks good I'm riding it up to Silverstone on Sat for the BSB qualifying. I want to get the 600 miles done asap in case winter arrives early.

...manual...??
...what manual...???
...seriously : I ran it in as if it was NOT a new bike. I made sure the oil was hot enough (easy ; you can see that on the dash), and reved it way beyond those 4500 RPM..., but always payed attention.

Excellent, to be honest I was thinking the same thing. Just let teh bike do as it pleases, as long as it feels comfy

Hi Paul,
Bike looks very, very nice. As I said in an earlier post I was allowed to rev the 300 mile demo I had to 7000 rpm and boy did it go.
All I need now is an induct for my BCR (only joking, well not really).
Hope the bike is still as shinny at Hawes, when I see it in the flesh.

Still got the BCR Andrew.
Didnt have any interest in it, apart from people wanting to swap for other bikes, such as VFR800 etc.
Havent given up yet and have spoken to one guy in Norfolk who may do a deal without a few goodies including the lennies.

The offer of crap money for my BCR has put me off buying a R1200S for the moment.
There again, just sorted my Wilbers out and the bike is going well, all I need now is an induct fitted along with my SJ lifter I have in a box in the garage.

Trying to find fablon type stuff to cover the panels / protect them. I know there was a company that made kits, but cant remember the name.

Paul - Paul's yer man re the sticky-on plastic kits. Try a search in recommended stuff, it may come up with the goods.
