Sorry Pete, I'm going to have to cry off for this weekend, since I'm "between bikes" at the mo' having just handed over the Explorer to its new owner, and the replacement is not due to be handed to me until the 28th. Since I don't have access to an MX5, that pretty much rules me out. Apologies, but see you all for the next one.
Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
Paul, for a man of your standing,I`m sure the local Mazda dealer would have let you have a new Mk4 MX5 for the weekend. It would have changed your life.We will miss you.

So come on Paul, don't be bashful. What's arriving on the 28th ?
I didn't think I would replace the tiger quite so soon, but foolishly fell for the old "just come and have a test ride" trick and after two and a half hours, with memories of my old R1100S flooding back, I decided to go for it. Sold my tiger through MCN to a guy in Dublin and delivered it to him in Holyhead last Friday, giving me a chance for a last farewell blatt through Shropshire and north Wales on it.
Apologies for hijacking the thread, now, back to Hawes...
