Absolutely love that shot of the woods, We have a print at home of something similar from a local artist, which I thought had been doctored, but after seeing yours maybe not.

Went Hillwalking in Glendalough co. Wicklow yesterday . I haven't been there since winter 2014... The upper lake .

Many great pictures on this thread.
More random wildlife. I was quite pleased with the bottom image, but the bird is not quite sharp enough.

This gorgeous chap is the reason I couldn't make sunday's Jack's Cafe meet-up. He's Jasper - a great big, soppy, loveable bundle of fur & fun. The sad news is that he was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness and our good friends (who own him) asked me to pop over on sunday to take some pictures of him whilst he's still up and about. Despite his condition, he's remarkably happy but we all know he only has weeks left on this earth:

Spotted this in the garden yesterday evening , I grabbed my compact camera for a few snaps , then had time to get my DSLR, with the wrong lens , changed the lens and I still had plenty of time. I'm told it's a female Sparrowhawk and it appears to be tucking into mag-pie...
