Or is it that the blue is blending in with the blue seat cowl etc.

Nah its not upside down, the back of the belly pan is red so they have just carried on the lines! I think plain blue as per the first photo is the way to go!
Still what do I know?

IS a bit cheesy, though
I didn't set out to buy blue lids for my bike - that was the colour that was for sale. They mark a lot easier than the plain black, though - and the touring ones would be worse.
(Spent so long picking emoticons, that Gripperod posted before me. Obviously a man of taste
