Duh! You are right.

A quick thread search show Che having a 1200S - can't say I know bugger all 'bout them

It is indeed an R1200S.

I was being very dumb about the sensors. The reason it looks sealed is because it is. By a bolt, that you remove to reveal the thread into which the sensor goes. Light showers forecast tomorrow, so the exhaust may yet win a one-day reprieve.
