It has been done but a hassle(what you want, and paying etc) when Daytona were imported by Tonys of Prestatyn it was spot on,but he's decided to retire and sold out to a big concern down south, who would rather flog you a new pair!!.
For anyone looking at the Daytona range, best to get a brochure it's a large range just a case of selecting what you want, for 'feel'Winers, 'protection'any of the Evo's as an alrounder any of the Goretex ones, but then you can get an Evo with Gortex!!!

I would like to add my personal experience to this one as well. I had a pair of Sidi Courier Pro's. I bought them back in 2000 and they have been ridden in all weathers all year round and were still going strong until my accident at the start of May '06. As a result of the accident my total leg injury has ended up being a ruptured achillies tendon and a fractured ankle and fractured heel. The first on scene bike paramedic and the hospital staff all said that the robustness of the boot saved me from worse injuries to my leg. They also commented that due to the robustness of the boot, the boot kept my leg and foot in place until it could be treated by the medic's which in the long term is helping the recovery process. Although these boots are expensive - around £150 - £170 - I shall be buying the same again in view of the level of protection offered to me at the time that I needed it most. They are also waterproof and I have never had wet feet in all the times and weathers that I have worn them.
