He bought it from new, toured Europe on it, won the first ever Earlystocks championship in the 350cc class, wrote it off, rebuilt it etc etc. I bought it in '94, kept it for 15 great years before deciding I wanted to do a Vespa project. The original owner contacted me at that point so we did a deal.

The Vespa was great, and quick (for a 130cc 2-stroke single with 4 gears) but I didn't have the same attachment to it, obviously, so as soon as I was skint, I sold it... Should have kept the 3 1/2!

The Stradas are pricey now, never mind the Sports :o

I just think they're beautiful little bikes. Sound great too. Definitely a place for one in my fantasy garage.

Yeah, '76 Sport, wire wheel/discs (they only made that combination for one year). Matching frame & engine numbers, factory L5 camshaft, NLM Valentini 2 into 1, big carbs... :cry:
