Probably made in China for a couple of quid, but the quality of the cables that came with the charger seems ok. It would have been cheaper to buy a kit from NN's, but wasn't quite sure what I was on with at the time

Hi all,

The cable I orderd came today (OPT-M79-009) it conneected straight to the charger and bike and the Optimate is now charging away.
Only problem now is that the Twinmax I ordered seems to be faulty, when connected it was showing siide A to be pulling more vacuum but when I reversed the pipes it did not reverse the reading,I have tried contacting the supplier but they are closed until the new year, but looking outside I won't be going out on the bike for some time,

There exist many posts on You Tube and other sites for balancing the throttle bodies on bmw boxer engines, there may be even an example hosted by twinmax on how to do it. I would wait for better weather give the bike a good run first do it in a well ventilated area, and have some cooling airflow directed towards the cylinders. I do not have a twinmax, I bought a carb tune it will do a four cylinder engine as well. I think it unlikely that a new unit will be faulty.
