They look perfect - even have colour-matched hubs - where can I get a set?!

Well funnily enough, an email just dropped in to my inbox, and it's good news - they're going to be making a batch again, and they'll be available by the end of the year. So probably worth hanging on, being as I'm unlikely to be doing much riding.

Really it would require a rubber specialist (stop giggling at the back!) who can process the correct grade.

However, cast engine bars may be possible - my employer's parent company in German has a foundry and regularly does aluminium and magnesium castings. If someone has a set I can borrow I could 3D scan them and get the ball rolling... Would obviously require quite a bit of interest to make it viable though.

I have a set of Stanton bars (bit mashed up but the digital files could be amended) if you need a set for scanning?

Thanks Riceburner. They look nice. Unfortunately I think the cost of tooling for new Aluminium castings would be prohibitively high - we'd need a substantial group of people to commit to buying to make it viable.

I do believe that Steptoe has made patterns for these and has had them cast in aluminum.

As it would happen I was just speaking with my boss about this earlier today. We certainly have the capability to make copies (castings) of existing parts, but it would require a group of people to buy-in to purchasing enough sets.
