He turns up on nice days and takes snaps at corners on the Horseshoe Pass, then sells them on his website Nick

The boxer cup looks very tidy..
Gus
D'ya know Gus I wasn't sure, it "may" be that I'm accelerating out of a corner etc, anyway it's under warranty so I thought "hey it's been 20,000 miles since the last shock absorber" .... so I sent the pic to dealers stating I think my shock was broke .... BMW have today authorised a new one. Cool that's an £1800 + part plus fitting.

Chuffed :)

"Getting" ... heck it passed that a long time ago ;) I'm sure it would have been cheaper for BMW to have refused to sell it to me :)

Lo Steve

Apart from routine maintenance and a coolant hose upgrade no problems.
I think the F8 motor and shared chassis components are sorted by now, the only thing I've heard about was surface rusting on the final drive chain, but that depends on who's chain is fitted, I think that been sorted by now, a m8 who'd bought an ex demo F8r had some real issues with his chain which was not dealt with very well by the BMW dealer.

Cool, yes I'd read about the early chain issues. CZ is BMW's chain supplier and apparently underspecced the original chains.

BMW sorted it out with a recall etc.

Perhaps I have a chance at this one being hassle free.

Despite it's issues I still love the K12GT to bits tho' as it's an awesome piece of kit!

Not so sure about that, the ex demo bike was a 12 plate F8r iirc, the dealer was insisting it was operator error, but Kevin is absolutely fastidious about his bikes. :?
