Thanks for all the replies, I've had a busy week at work so the bike has languished in the garage & I haven't really had a good play yet.

One thing I have noticed though is the previous owner fitted a Battlax BT ozif on the front & a Metzeler Roadtec z6 on the back. Any thoughts on this mis match? They both have plenty of tread btw.

Cheers Ian

If you want to adjust fuelling, either go with the motronic chip that goes with the laser exhaust or a setup session with a Power commander.

I found the fuellling on the two I have had to be fine. Just make sure that the throttle bodies are balanced properly.

Too true. Having the cables with the correct amount of slack and the throttle bodies set correct makes a huge difference in smooth running, particularly on pick up off a closed throttle.

Personally I'd change to matching tyres. I am a bit anal about that sort of thing.

But then again, if it rides OK, wait for them to wear out.

Thanks for all the helpful replies to date & it's a shame the weather been so bad - I'm really looking forward to giving it a good long thrash!

Meanwhile I've just bought a Remus system off eBay :) & will no doubt be back with some more questions when it arrives.

One further question today though, the adjuster for the front shock absorber doesn't appear to move in either direction. Is this a common problem?

Thanks,

Ian
