Never been to Scotland.
Looks good.
I always go to southern France for my jollies.
It's a couple of days ride to get into the alps, but at least the roads are pretty much empty all the time and in the Summer you're guaranteed good weather.

Got the offer of a few days on Islay in September - just hope I can make it. Love Scotland and always holidayed there until I got a passport

I love Scotland and have been lucky enough to have visited many times (some of it work) but have never manged to get a bike up there. I hope to change that sometime soon.
