Yeah 14k is very short life.
Recommend getting the front of the bike off the ground with a jack, and a mate to hold the rear steady while you check that front end.
Wear in the forks or brakes is easy to distinguish then.
I'm pretty sure that the 1100S is the only model that has 2 -yes 2! of those ruddy expensive balljoints, and you really need to be sure where the clunk is coming from before buying 'spensive parts.
Check first, spend later and reluctantly.
