I have a Givi bag thingie that straps to the yoke - not the most elegant solution, but it gives me somewhere to stuff my wallet and camera, too.

Quick update for this.

If you are planning on using your phone (especially iPhone) as a navigation tool on a European trip, then it may be worth noting that iPhones can and will overheat, then shut down, once ambient temperatures get into the 30s.

Mine shut down several times last week - mostly when I was in slow moving city traffic.

That's hilarious!! I think the "retaining strap" may need some work though. :lol:

I mocked up a new mount for a phone case I have, with the intention of screwing it in to the fork top. Unfortunately when I removed the little brass fitting it turns out that it's a fine-pitch thread, so I need to see if I can find an off-the-shelf screw that'll fit it. M8 x 30 fine pitch, if anyone can help...
