Out of interest , I take it Litres are the same worldwide (unlike gallons).
In which case your fuel consumption works out the same as my bike without all the mods (44 ish mpg).(3.4 gals) Has the ccp affected the consumption , I think earlier you quoted 300 k's to a tank with modded intakes And have you increased your tank capacity ?

Hi Nigel. Yep litres are the same everywhere (gotta like those Froggies .

When I'm not on B roads or more remote A roads (UK terminology) I keep closer to the speed limit of 100kph - 60mph, and my economy improves to where I can safely risk it to 300kms with a couple of litres left.

Last couple of outings has seen a lot of low flying (75-100mph) and vigorous mountain road work so I was pleased to get to 245km - 150mi with 4.0L remaining.

Now that I've restored normal power I would expect the fuel consumption to rise only when I use the extra available, so there should be no change in consumption with 'responsible' koff koff highway riding.

No change in tank size. GS choobs are the only mod.

I've just had a look at my BCR coding plug and its grey and joins 86,87 and 30, is this an original for high lift cams or is it a low octane Swiss one either way what is the correct one for a BCR with no cat and Laser exhausts, i'd hate to be missing out on 33BHP.

from reading the posted details it certainly sounds like the reduced power one .... Look at the positive it's not everday you "find" 33hp!

Sorry MelC. I didn't see your post.

I don't know enough about Motronic to know if there is a special map for BCR's, BUT ... if it were mine I'd be making up some jumper leads to bridge only 87-30. I'll bet pounds to peanuts that connecting 86 will leave you 33hp short. A trial won't hurt.

Whilst marshalling the carparks at the 1066 Biker Fest at Hastings I only saw one other R1100S are we that rare now??

Well linking 30 and 87 does work!!! how much more it is is purely subjective
but its a lot quicker after 5500-6000 out of roundabouts. Thanks to all you've made my day!! I'll go and fill up with fuel and see what the consumptions like.

Yep - doesn't take any careful squinting to see if you can feel a bit more here or there. It's like a pie in the face after 5000rpm.
