I recently acquired my first proper car (comfy, quiet etc.)
Is it just a phase you go through or will I ever gain pleasure from freezing my nads off in adverse weather conditions again..
I fondly remember the days of the challenge of winter riding, those tiny nods of recognition from hard bitten couriers, 3 pairs of socks, 2 pairs of trousers, 6 jumpers etc.. heart in mouth moments at roundabouts, the cawing of crows on the crisp winter morning as you survey the frosty land from the saddle. The painful process of the return of sensation to extremities... Heck I even did trackdays in December and February....
Now its car everytime....
Is this a turning point in bike ownership, will spring and new tyres get me back into the 2 wheel groove...

It's called old age mate, although also trades in the name of common sense!!!,but don't think you've got away with it,cuz the moment the sun shines and the temp picks up you'll be a back to normal, strangely enough the off shoot is your bike will wear better and last longer, although you'll also find haveing done it the hard way(like most people have!!) it still grates when some twat is telling you how ruffty tuffty he is freezeing his bollocks off in the middle of winter!!!,and you'll think 'Yea sure been there done that',and he'll be acting all superior ,and you'll be thinking 'What a knob'

Mercs only count in Sarf if they're S class...or possibly an SL500...
Especially if you're a Nigerian taxi driver in your spare time...the Evening Standard said this week that there are 1 Million Nigerians based in London...and 400,000 from Ghana...
))) And they ALL watched the football in Griffin Park on Tuesday.
SLKs are too ladyboy...
And vintage is a No.
If only the good folk of Munich could see who drives their finest in Sarf London.

When the going gets weird...
Old mercs are 10 a penny around Dalston
still a great car though..
On another old vehicle note - I went sledging on my Vespa this morning, despite fouling its plug at every other traffic light (which required a running jump start
) got me across London in the rush hour in time to meet delivery man...
lost the front finally turning into a very steep downhill snowy road round the corner from the new flat, held it up by putting both feet down, then it decided it didn't want to go in a straight line anymore and slid sideways into the kerb on the ridiculous camber - so I gave up and pushed it to the next bit of gritted road..
glad I didn't take the S, it would have been on its side several times..
