Quiet on here!

Post by Mike B »

Well after my long break from this forum, it does seem to have quietened down on here. Come on chaps, it's like a ghost town.

And who owns my old bike? Stop hiding it in ya garage.

You're right, the site is not as active as it was 10 years ago, but we still have weekends away, Covid permitting, some come and say hello in Hawes in July.
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

It goes like that, some days I get on here and there are loads of posts, other days ?

Well , I'm guessing if the weather is good , everyone out riding !!

That is my excuse .

Speaking of which, I think I'll wash my BMW today, fortunately out here, it just gets dusty, so I'm not continuously washing and drenching it in WD40.

I washed the Suzuki yesterday first time since February, just a wipe down after a few rides, and a coating of silicone spray to stop more dust.

But the BMW is coming up for an oil change , so I'll treat it to a good clean , then when its undressed , I'll wipe all the hidden areas .

Hi Gerry, the 1100S didn’t sell? You keeping hold of it for now? A rather good move. The value can only go up imo. Such handsome beasts!

Correct Neil, and there is NO WAY I'll let it go for a stupid price .

I enjoy riding it, had a good spin on it after giving it a bit of a shampoo wash yesterday .

Two up, its my favourite bike.

Since the deathly silence continues. Let me cough rather dramatically loudly and ask... I am after a new rear tyre for my Bcr. Can anyone recommend a on line tyre supplier? Sorry in advance, if a woke any elderly gentleman up.

M&P generally do some good tyre pair deals, thats where I would start to be honest. Now, where did I put my ear trumpet and slippers.

As above - M&P had some great deals on for 180 rear F&R pairs, recently.

Otherwise - check out Oponeo and Tyreleader for deals. Prob best just getting a pair.

I could do you a good deal on a (new but 10yr old) Pilot Road 2...................

If not - I know that Boxerscott would take it for a touring holiday.

If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......

See if that works .....
