Right, here goes! Fitted new Venhill brake lines front and rear to my 2003 Randy Mamola BCR this weekend. Fitting was no issue and I then bled the ABS unit using the 6 bleed nipples in the order stated on a web document I downloaded. Went to bleed the calipers using the ABS unit to pump the fluid through and when either brake lever is depressed slightly, nothing happens. I can hear a click or some such noise in the unit as if fluid pressure is making something happen but no whirring etc. Warning light flashes at at least 2Hz so what's the problem? Unit was fine prior to the strip down and the battery has been disconnected for a while to allow access to various components. Is it a fuse? Something else? Bike currently has no tank or bodywork (obviously). Does something have to be reset?
Battery has been charged and can operate indicators, horn and turn the engine over.

Doesn't sound like the same procedure I used when I changed my break fluid on a 2002 RM with servo ABS? If I understand you correctly you have bled the ABS unit before you have any fluid in the calipers which is wrong. The ABS unit itself is bled (via the 6 bleed screws) only after the whole system is full.
Firstly you need to prime the front circuit of the ABS unit (using a funnel as the reservoir) and turn on the ignition to allow the servo to pressurise. Then open the bleed nipple on the LH caliper and gently squeeze the lever which will push fluid through the system. The level in the funnel will drop at the same time and you need to keep topping this up so the fluid level does not disappear into the unit. Keep pumping via the lever until you have clean fluid coming out of the LH caliper bleed screw, then tighten bleed screw with the servo still pumping.
Repeat the above for the RH caliper, making sure you keep the fluid level up in the funnel until fluid appears at the caliper. Keep pumping until the level in the funnel disappears into the ABS unit then tighten the bleed screw.
Repeat the process for the rear circuit, again using the servo to pump the fluid.
Remove any old fluid from the rear reservoir (below the seat on the RH side) and refill with new fluid up to the prescribed mark.
Only then do you bleed the ABS unit (rear circuit only at this point) via the three screws (in the correct order) on the ABS unit.
repeat the reservoir clean and refill for the front brakes and bleed the front circuit of the ABS unit.
Put the tank back on and away you go
I replaced my brake lines and used the above procedure and it worked fine.

Bleeding / changing fluid in 2093 BCR with iABS
Following on from replies received, ABS unit does NOT prime when ignition is switched on and connecting to my GS911 diagnostic tool indicates no faults. Checked fuses visually and all seem fine although I will try with a multimeter just to check. I have drawn fluid through all three calipers using the relevant funnel screwed into the pits on top of the ABS unit but cannot use the ABS alums to then push fluid through.
Any ideas anyone?
