Cheers Phil, not actually a great deal of difference between abuse and truth in this instance really, and I was never that good at geography.

Scoped out part of the route on Sunday, on four wheels I hasten to add, had some snow over the border crossing at carter bar...

Did the forest section today on a service call to Carlisle, More Snow, Blizzard conditions in fact.

Got the remaining section to do when we attend a space observation at Keilder.

The route is taking shape, apart from a brief section of the a1 on the coast, this will be, hopefully, an "uncongested free flowing run"

Should call it the "Freedom Tour"

app 200 miles (more if you want) good facility stops at Eyemouth, Rothbury and Keilder.

Castles, (not bouncy ones) Battle fields and Great Border Hospitality await you.

I will post the proposed run over the festive weekend

Book up cos accom. will be compromised as there is a wedding on in the town this particular weekend. (pm me if you are having trouble finding accom and I will post bestest nearest to Jed accom providers)

Summer seems so far away

Chris

Thanks Chris, Eyemouth, Rothbury and Kielder. Sounds like it's got the makings of a good day out :D
The GS brigade could even do the off road bit in Kielder

Not too sure about that. I didn't specify the 'Stealth Mode' option on the GS. :)

Cheers

Booked into the Kenmore Bank for both nights.

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Another fine man!

Our neighbours Jean and Walter at Kenmore Bank, Top people, be wary of the entrance to Kenmore Bank, steep and short descent entrance from the road into the property, come to think of it, most Border towns are like that!!

They have booked into the Meadon House B & B
