R1200S headlamp conversion

The description is a bit confusing.I'm concerned about CanBus compatibility.

Nothing to worry about. It plugs into the headlight connectors. You may have make some alterations to the rear of reflector to get the HID bulb to fit. Find a suitable place to mount the ballast where there is enough airflow over it to cool. The best is to have the low beam on HID as it will be on all the time. The HID does take a while to start because the ballast needs to charge, so to speak. You do get the fast start ballasts which switches on within the second and is suitable for the main beam.

i thought headlight conversions were outlawed now and wont pass mot ,
read an interesting article recently , ill see if i can find the link.
long story cut short , better white bulbs was the answer , but with a shorter life as the trade off.
its not a boxer , its a 180 degree v-twin
