I have the impression that my 2004 R1100s is running a bit rougher than usual (more vibes throughout the rev range). I started here up this morning and noticed that there's quite a difference in the pressure coming out of the exhaust pipes - I could feel this easily against my hand. Should both pipes have the same pressure, or is this an indication that something is not right?
When I came back from a ride yesterday I thought I noticed the smell of petrol coming from one side of the bike (just in front of the rear shock on the right hand side) - could I have a problem with the fuel system?
This is my first oilhead Beemer - I always had airheads in the past, and don't really have much idea how the fuel injection system works, so apologies if I sound a bit clueless .........
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Twin exhaust cans are for show effectively......
Most gas comes out of the one the inlet goes to.
That said - you may just need your throttle bodies balanced.
Do a search on Google for how to check/adjust

If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......
Then plug me back in..........
See if that works .....

Re: R1100S Exhaust Pressure
The breather pipe exits in that area , it can dribble if the tank is full .Davyboy wrote: When I came back from a ride yesterday I thought I noticed the smell of petrol coming from one side of the bike (just in front of the rear shock on the right hand side) - could I have a problem with the fuel system?

My BoxerCup Replika has different pressures and I remember reading a thread where they run 80 - 20 ex factory.

Found it
Laser engineered the system to produce HP. It does. This system was selected by BMW for the BoxerCup series for that reason.
The mufflers are not identical, they are engineered to take 80% into one can and 20% into the other.
This system does produce more HP than other brands that are engineered differently.
