You may find it interesting reading when dealing with people who say things like "they all do that, mate" whilst sucking air through their teeth, or stare at you in horror when you refuse to pay for the additional guarantee they try to sell you with, for example, that new laptop you bought yourself.

Enjoy.

First is the idiots' guide.

Second is a little more detailed - page 39 is particularly delicious. Like Nigella with a sea food Paella Valenciana followed by a line or two of (let's NOT go there....)

These are from the UK Trading Standards Office web site.

Page 39 didn't turn up. Am I due some compensation?

Excellent and nicely timed information as I am having a run in with Vodafone right now on a new contract they sold me at the end of November. I am still waiting for my old business number to port over and may now have to wait another week. On top of that they disconnected my old number on Boxing day and have not reconnected or transferred it yet!
I am trying to argue the point that the service they have provided is not fit for purpose as sold to me by their salesman who was adamant that it would be a seamless transition.
All Vodafone do is fob me off and I have spent hours on the phone to them going in circles through different departments.
The bastards!!![/u]
