Bar risers

Post by bikesnbones »

I'm starting to get uncomfortable now due to weight on wrists, so I'm looking into riser conversions for my 12S.
Can anyone make any suggestions that do not involve changing clutch and brake lines, and other general faffing about,

I have a full Wunderlich conversion kit for an R12S, that I am sure we can negotiate a price on . It consists of replacement yoke with ball joint, handlebars and handlebar mounts/clamps and comes with the braided extension lines. Your existing brake lines attach to the underside of the yoke and the fluid runs through the yoke, very neat.
Its impossible to rise the bars significantly without extending the lines.
I willtake some photos of the kit if you are interested.

i went for the helibars which raise the bars about 30mm. if im honest i think they make a bit of difference but not as much as you may be hoping for.

They are easy to fit but i needed to replace the front brake line as when the bike was unloaded (on its stand) there was tension on the brake line. I believe other trixters have left it like that with no issues, but for £20 i had one made from Hel.

If you want a major change then you will need a proper bar conversion i think.
