Help with Honda stop and tail light connector

Post by boxerscott »

Can anyone advise me where to get some 1.5mm mini spade female connectors? (that is the spade size not the conductor diameter) I am having a challenge trying to make good a harness loom that was butchered by a Humpty Dumpty who spliced in an alarm and fitted Billy Whiz indicators to an aftermarket tail tidy (that's a laugh) discarding the original stop tail light which has 2x 3 spade socket connectors. Dunno who makes the Honda connectors and all wiring looms I can find on Net have suffered the same hideous treatment. These guys do my front lobes in. :x

I bought a box of mixed electrical connectors from my local Autosave last summer, that was to redo the aftermarket wiring on the mini (useless) indicators fitted by last owner of my bike,
I should think most local motor factors could help you out?

Aye, can not find em small enough, smallest spade size seems to be 2.3mm, will have to ring one of them to see if I can get any pointers.

Aye indeed, Did a wee check & smallest I have is 3mm, sorry.
A quick google and there are quite a few packs on eBay, or a whole 6p each from a few electrical suppliers, I'd just brass neck and ask a local vehicle electrician for a couple :)

Chris, Tool Station do them - £3.98 for 100. Doesn't look like there is a one close to you. There's one in Durham I can pop in Tuesday and get them for you and send them if you want

looks like the 1.5mm is the cable diameter rather than the spade width. Me mate works in a Uni lab I'll ask him if he has anything lying about

Dave, many thanks for your help, those connectors were just the ticket, saved me a packet as a new harness comes in at £270.00 and all the other butchered tat knotted up on various sites somehow has a high value too :?

One good turn deserves another so I have booked you in at Stobbo Castle for a Balsamic Vinegar Bath and Pamper day

Cheers Chris
