ditto jay.. It's on the computer.. After all they know what you had for breakfast..
When it's due they seem to spend more on post telling you to do it on-line than they save by you doing it on-line.
I purposely don't (do it on-line) 'cos I want to support my local (village) Post Office and give them the business.
But Al's photocopy is a good idea. _________________ Simon with a

Just a thought, but would actually displaying a photo copy or scanned image be classed a fraud or something. We're already easy targets, (because rightfully paying our way gives us an identity), it won't take much of an excuse for them to start throwing some more pages of the book at us _________________ R1100S |

I think legal tender is the only thing you can be done for, even though you may not have had fraud in mind.
It'd only be fraud if you placed a copy of the disc in a holder and subsequently cashed in the original disc.
(I reckon)

..commiserations..
.. I was agreeing in principal.. a case of ".. you'd think.."
If I have tax disk I put it on.. Though tbh I 've not had one nicked (that's the curse applied now!)
But did you have it with you?
What did they say when you said "..it'll be on the computer"? ... _________________ Simon with a

Good idea friend of mine has done the same - another alternative- scan the disc and put the scanned copy in the holder and carry the original with you _________________ wanna win the lottery and ride my bike |

mine was nicked about a week ago snapped the bugger striaght off.
I was wondering wether anybody had a solution for this as my bike lives on the drive i dont have a shed or garage
any advice welcome i've done a search for a removable disc holder but did'nt find anything!
I have considered rigging a security movement sensor up to a GPMG but that just might hit me bike in the process so no good |
Touch wood but I've not had one nicked in over 30 years of biking ... but then north Wales is fairly crime free
Several friends in the south east put the tax disk holder under the seat then if plod ask to see it you can show it attached to the bike
The wallet carrying is ok but they get very tatty quickly in there |
