Of the zillion things I've come across are packs of what are called Back to Black, they are same as those packs of wet wipes you can buy but impregnated with silicone.

Are they any good for cleaning a bike??? absolutely fantastic, just pull e'm out of the pack and start cleaning,wheels/paint/bodywork/black engines :D come up like a new pin and what ever is on e'm lasts forever while you cleaning, the only problem was finding out were they came from?? Poundland.

or you can use smooth peanut butter on black plastic parts, cheap, last ages

black , or faded bumpers and trim parts ,,, wipe with used yes used engine oil , ideally on a dry warm day , wait half hour for it to bake , then polish it off , do it a few times and you get a really great satin black finish that lasts.
best of all , its free , just save oil fro last engine oil change ,, best of all a smelly old diesel car , lots of carbon in the oil.
