Boxer Cups at the Nurburgring - 2 weeks time
Loser buys the beer

Sounds like a good Boxertrix outing with the rest of us spectating after a couple of laps!

That’s good mileage there John. I’m not convinced newer cars could make that mileage.
Because electronics. Years ago it was rust that killed cars, just before the engines wore out. Reading across a few car forums, support for the wiggly amps box of tricks as fitted on modern cars may not be around leading to the cars being scrapped.
That’s why my cars are older and I can understand and fix them. Mostly!
Well off thread now ...

Neil

Yes its been a cracking car, I bought it 1 year old - LPG conversion, so 50+ equivalent mpg, chipped so 300+bhp and prodigeous mid range - enough to worry/upset 911 drivers.
Most comfortable car I have ever owned.
Just starting with a few age related expenses, so I got a VW Passat from a friend with only 170k miles and it is crap.
Soggy suspension, poor braking, average perfomance and a comfort control ecu problem from the can bus wiring which I cannot get to the bottom of so heater and Ac doesn't work and now the clutch slave cylnder is packing up. I have wasted more time in 2 months with this VW than I ever spent on the Saab - because it didnt need it.

Rant over.
