South West Meet up

Postby Al » Sun Aug 18, 2013 10:32 am

As the title says, quite a few of us in this part of the world so how about a meet up for a coffee and a chat?

Venue: Great Torrington Common, just on the edge of town on the A386 heading to Bideford, it has food van and toilets.(see google maps)

Dates, think september is a bit busy for some so how about Sat 31st Aug or Sun 01 Sept or if not it will have to be the w/end 5/6 Oct, I tried to add a poll but failed miserably.

Al.

Edit, maybe not!

I say 31st August... but any chance of it being not quite so far South West?

I voted for 5th October.

I could do August 31st (remember its Bank Holiday weekend, lots of grockles about) but 5th October is better for me.

Great Torrington lends itself to a South West meet up cause its approx 55 miles from Taunton Exeter Plymouth?

Twinspark do you live in South Wales ?

Yes, I'm in South Wales - so it's around 300 miles round trip for me.

31st August isn't the B/H weekend, either - B/H Monday is on August 26th.

My mistake, was thinking of another event in Minehead that is traditionally on the B/H wkend but has been moved.

Hmm, my missus has loads of family and friends in Plymouth, I wonder if I could combine a weekend visit with a bikey day out ( scratches chin, eyes wander up to skies....)

Have to agree Phil, bit of a poor showing so far, especially as there must be a dozen or so people on here from Bristol down to cornwall and quite a few more if you include Wilts and Dorset. Have to confess I havn`t voted myself yet  far too busy working in the Home of Heineken and Windmills.

Sorry chaps, not been on for a while. A grand idea but I'm currently due to work on each of the suggested dates. However, may be able to swing a shift swap or summit for either of the October dates.
