Hotel recommendation

Just returned from my 2nd visit to the Highbullen hotel in North Devon, not too far from Barnstable.

It's a converted manor house and outbuildings, with a golf course and gym / pool.

Whilst it's not the last word in luxury, it's a stunning location and the fitness facilities are excellent - you look out over the valley from the gym and jacuzzi.

Food is locally sourced and excellent, whilst bar prices aren't extortionate.

I'd say it's ideal for classic car enthusiasts and bikers, we've visited as part of a little jaunt in our classics this summer and autumn.

I have no connection with the business - just a very satisfied customer - but I know they've struggled a little in recent months (it has recently been bought by someone who loved it as a guest), and I would be sad to see it close.
