It was 50/50 wet/dry, 3 days, 1280 miles, great trip. Somehow I have made a right mess up and lost my photos, not that there were many.

The R1100s behaved amazingly well, now with 62k on the clock but went just fine especilly with the Maxton rear shock keeping it all composed with the throttle pinned, 145 on the speedo through bends on the autobahns (bit less on the B500, well not much less  ). However I was travelling with a new zzr 1400 (215 bhp) and a new ZX10R (200 hp), so it was all a bit rapid, but Germany is the place to be for these antics. I caught them up eventually (well they kept a lid on it ! but had 180 on the clocks once or twice ) Given their heads, those new Kwakas are devastatingly quick on real roads.

At the pumps, I consistently used the most fuel

I was the most comfortable though, they were on Nurofen for 2 out of 3 days

And of course, I had the best luggage for my pipe and slippers. :D

Cant wait to get back.

I saw one of those in a local dealer this morning and required a double take when looking at the spec sheet

Interesting comment on the fuel consumption.
